Valentine's Write the Room

$2.00

This Write the Room activity has students movin’ and groovin’ as they work on their letter sounds. Students (especially the younger ones) love activities that involve movement or getting up from their seats. Movement helps work different parts of the brain and aids in attention span. If you have students who struggle with sitting all day, this activity is perfect!

Students will practice identifying beginning and ending sounds of images around the room. This helps students practice letter sounds and therefore helps improve decoding skills. For students who are ready for more of a challenge, this activity includes all of the phonics skills you’re looking for – from digraphs to diphthongs! Students will encode and then decode as students write and then read the words.
